The area known as Stream fishing in Alsterån is a 15-km-long section along the Alsterån river, most of it real wilderness away from crowds. Strömfiske Alsterån aspires to be one of the best salmon trout fishing waters in Sweden.

This stretch of the river includes natural sections that are relatively calm, where novices or people in wheelchairs also have an opportunity to try their luck at fishing. Both fishermen with fly rods and spinning gear are welcome. Some zones are limited to barbless catch-and-release fly fishing. At the Höneströmsdammen pond, in the middle of the stretch, you can rent a boat. Fishing licences, information and boat rentals are available at the fishing centre at Vidinge Gård, which also offers lodging.
