Address: Pukebergarnas väg, 382 34 Nybro
Welcome to Pukeberg Glassworks in Nybro, where we offer hyttsill (hot-shop herring) in a genuine works setting.
We begin the evening with a welcoming drink in a glass that guests may keep and engrave during the evening. The food consists of traditional Småland fare.
Included on the menu are fried Isterband sausage, bacon, pickled herring prepared with onions and cream, baked potatoes with savoury butter, bread and butter as well as a light drink (low-alcohol beer/water/soft drink). We are fully licensed, with a bar, so you also can purchase strong beer, aquavit, etc.
Accompanying the meal is entertainment by troubadours featuring very traditional Småland and Swedish songs. The troubadours continue playing and singing until the Swedish cheesecake is served, so during the course of the evening the style of music can change, depending on the guests and their nationalities, ages and wishes. After the meal, there is a break with glassblowing, when our master glassblowers show how one works with the molten, fluid glass material. After this, everyone who so desires can try to blow glass. During the break you also have an opportunity to engrave the glass in which you received your welcoming drink. The shop also is open, with a 10% discount. The evening concludes with Småland cheesecake along with jam and cream, coffee or tea and troubadour entertainment.
